SOCAV

The philosophy at SOCAV is that not all wines are equal and that only the best wines should be selected from a wide array of potential contenders.

Wine quality is determined in part by the individual characteristics of the vineyard, grape varieties, climate and terroir, etc., and the savoir-faire of the winemakers and oenologists.

SOCAV brings with it a wealth of wine making expertise and market knowledge to help build a bridge between the passion of the winemaker for his craft and that of the consumer for the product of that craft: fine wine.

SOCAV ages their selections with the greatest care and the supervision by their consulting oenologists.

In order to guarantee the finest wines from Bergerac through to the Médoc, SOCAV stays closely involved with every step of the winemaking process.

SOCAV and the winemaking team adhere to a strict quality charter to ensure we take advantage of nature’s rich terroir as well as modern techniques.

Environmental management is essential and includes relevant pruning methods, controlled yields and limited use of agrochemicals.

Terroir is crucial to the in formation of a wine’s character, but plot selection, harvesting time, and proper vinification techniques are equally crucial to producing a quality wine.

These qualities are all closely supervised by SOCAV.
